SIW based D-band Single and 2×2 MIMO Elliptically Tapered Slot Antenna

In this paper, the substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) based single and 2×2 multiple input output (MIMO) elliptically tapered slot antennas (ETSA) have been demonstrated at D-band. The width of coupling SIW line is selected to operate TE10-mode within frequency range interest. opening designed in front upper lower metal layers radiating end line. outer sides extensions are corrugated improve impedance matching. For measurement, three separate transitions working different ranges with ETSA named as Ant-1, Ant-II, Ant-III. A setup was constructed for far-field measurements laboratory where only 2D radiation patterns gains can be measured. Ant-I, Ant-III prototypes achieved a measured |S 11 | < –10 dB 20 GHz (110–130 GHz), 28.6 (130–158.6 GHz) 16 (154–170 peak 12.85, 12.86, 10.4 dBi, respectively.
